Important Announcement from The Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation!

The scientists funded under the direction of Nobel laureate Dr. Paul Greengard are on the brink of exciting new discoveries in their Alzheimer's research. Dr. Greengard has authored almost 1,000 scientific publications. And when he gets excited about a new discovery – so does The Fisher Center. They are now donating 100% of money raised directly to Dr. Greengard's team's research to support their efforts.

You can help by making a donation and wearing "I'm Tired of Alzheimer's" bracelets! Show you care!

How many people do you know, who have a loved one who has died or is suffering from Alzheimer’s or a form of Dementia? As far back as a 1993 national survey, 19 million Americans said they had a family member with Alzheimer’s and 37 million said they knew someone with the disease. We watched our mother suffer from Dementia for eight long years as this hideous disease destroyed her mind and her dignity.

Alzheimer’s/Dementia is a progressive, insidious and fatal disease that destroys brain cells, wreaks havoc not only on memory, but also on thinking processes and behavior. According to the Alzheimer’s Association, there are now more than
5 million people in the US living with Alzheimer’s and, in fact, it is the sixth leading cause of death in the US. Because of our increased longevity, by 2050, it is estimated that this figure will rise to more that 13 million. The direct and indirect costs of Alzheimer’s and other dementias amount to more than $148 billion annually, much of it going to care-giving. Your help can make a difference!

There is hope for finding a cure for Alzheimer's disease. New effective treatments are just around the corner, and the Fisher Center for Alzheimer's Research Foundation is one of the world's largest research teams leading the battle against Alzheimer's disease. Fisher Center website
